Day 1

The day has finally arrived, it was patch day.  I was super excited, for this was the day where we would be able to experience the new Atoraxxion dungeon - Vahmalkea.  We eventually formed our guild party and embarked on the adventure.  Prior to this, I watched some videos of KR server players completing this dungeon, hoping it would serve as a guide.  But little did my party and I know of the challenges and hardships we were about to endure.

Our first puzzle!

The dungeon was amazing! It was a breath of fresh air from our daily grinds.  And it even contained puzzles where we had to figure it out for ourselves, instead of just copying someone else before us.  About 3 hours into the dungeon we finally arrived at Vaha's Heart, also known as the Gem Breaker room. Up to this point we didn't have much trouble brute forcing our way through the dungeon.  But the tune quickly changed as we faced Kratenn.  And to make matters worse, one of our party member was able to follow another adventurer into the next portal and locked herself out from the party.  The 4 of us faced Kratenn and his minions and we found ourselves forced to reset and regroup constantly, as mobs would respawn as we were battling a very tanky boss.  Putrakium and his bird gang was the worse among those mobs. Everytime they spawned there would be constant AOE's and CC's everywhere.  The battle was long and hard, multiple deaths occured many gems were broken, but we eventually defeated Kratenn.  We bolted for the next portal in big sigh of relief as that fight was now behind us. It was at the portal when I realized I did not get a heart drop from Kratenn and would not be able to make the item to go through the portal.  The mood from our short-lived victory quickly changed as I broke the news to my party.  It was then, I decided to hand of the party to another member and leave the party.  I just could not ask my friends to go through another gruesome fight with Kratenn, so thought it would be best if I wished them luck and bid them farewell.

Day 2

Little did we know, that in order to reach to the final boss, we must have 5 members each with a Lucretia Dagger.  Therefore my friends were unable to complete the dungeon from the day before.  After learning the news we decided to go again, but this time I was able to uncover more information about mechanics for fighting the mobs and bosses. We discovered that if we used matchlocks against Kratenn, we could destroy his cyrstal core, as he was preparing for his massive AOE. And without his crystal core, Kratenn would be no stronger than a grass beetle!  With our newfound knowledge, we were able to quickly arrive at Kratenn and take him out with ease.  But once again Kratenn did not give me a heart drop.  And it wasn't until 6 more Kratenns later did that heart finally drop for me.

We made quick work of the next boss Ahtenn and finally made it into the final boss chamber.  But this time, we did so with all 5 party members.  The final boss fight was challenging but not impossible.  We had our moments where we ever so close to slaying Apex Urukios.  But we decided fatigue was starting to kick in and it was best to save this battle for another day.

Day 3

Determined and re-energized we returned to Atoraxxion Vahmalkea once more.  We fought another long and hard battle, but we never gave up.  We continued to stick up for each other and work together as a team.  In the end, we emerged victorious.

Victory at last!
