With the new Merv's Palette, BDO's already intricate dye system has reached a whole new degree of complexity. On top of being able to diversify dye colors based on material, we now have the freedom to choose any color out of the entire spectrum. Now, whether you just need to add that personal touch with your favorite color, down to the exact RGB, or just make sure your color scheme hits the exact nuance, the new Merv's Palette does just that.
With the RGB system, I could now dye the already beautiful Nova's Aquila Armor to the exact shade of silver I wanted, inspired by various knight-themed characters such as Artoria Pendragon from the Fate series, Jean from Genshin Impact, as well as sneaking in my own personal shade of blue.
Additionally, while very subtle, getting the right shade of gold to adorn Nova's armor that befits Nova's theme and background story as the last princess of Calpheon is now possible (after many hours agonizing and testing different shades to hit that perfect hue).
As the last star of Calpheon, it is only deserving that Nova look perfectly elegant with the right dyes; gold to represent her nobility, white for her elegance, and blue (my favorite color) to oppose the red army and parliament of the Calpheon that has been taken from her. Blue is truly fitting for her (and me), for she is the true heir to the Calpheon throne, waiting to reclaim what is rightfully hers.
It is easy to sink. But even so, she desires to freeze this oncoming tide.
