Hello GM and fellow Shais,

 

I have been looking forward to the new Shai talent skill for a while now. While I think that it is nice that we can now move while using bongo skills, the effects for buff and debuff skills while under the song variation effect is a complete disaster. Here are my thoughts:

 

1. While under "We 're gonna win" effect, both buffs and debuffs become single target based. i.e. you can only buff 1 target at a time or debuff 1 mob at a time

2. While channeling a buff song, you have to "aim" at your ally for it to cast once, then after that you have to wait until the next "tick" to buff another ally. This completely destroys the purpose of creating this skill, which is to let Shai buff allies (plural!) with ease while they move around and at a safe distance. Not only do I have to aim at the ever moving ally, I can only buff 1 at a time, making the Shai extremely vulnerable trying to aim and probably missing all the targets. This is even worse than "sprinkle sprinke" aim.

3. While channeling a debuff song, one 1 mob/enemy will be affected. Again...this destroys the original purpose of the skill. May I ask how is debuffing 1 mob or enemy at a time useful at all?

4. The "increased range" is a complete joke.... the distance is only ever so slightly increased and its now a slow forward projectile cast much like the "sprinke"...completely dissappointing.

 

I hope this is genuiely a bug...and not a joke on us...so that it will be fixed in the next patch. Otherwise, it just proves everyone else is right about Shai- a neglected class by the GMs and has no place in BDO. If this really isn't a bug, then it is extremely unfortunate for us main Shais (also many other tagged Olun Shais) who worked so hard to find a place for this class in the world of BDO...and yet to be let down again...

From what I see and from all the comments on Discord and Reddit, they should have named it "we are gonna lose BIG TIME"

 

Did anyone actually test this in real situations?

stop "buffing" awakening seriously.

give us some mobilty buffs and add more abilties into her Florang.

I am tired of this stupid "Lifeskill" and "Support" Class.( 5% more EXP on Alchemy and Gathering kek)

Just admit that shai needs a hard buff or revamp.

Also make her viable on 1v1 PvP instead of forcing us to go full DP.

I am sick of giving all my grinding spots away just because our class can't deal as much damage as any other class.

The new skill shows that there is no one at Pearl Abyss who mains the class and is extremely dissapointing.


I also want to let you know none of her official class descriptions even mention the word "lifeskill".

Kakao did us super dirty by a faulty translation in the patch where they called us a lifeskill class, this was never corrected and the entire bdo community took it as our class description, so next time anyone calls us a lifeskill class, please direct them to our official class description.

 

As for the changes we desperatly need, I opened a topic here to adress what I think are the biggest current issues with her PvE state.

We severely lack damage against high-dr mobs that came with the new hadum channels, and shows again that Shai has not been playtested on these spots before they were released we lack upward of 100 AP to efficiently grind these mobs, which every other class in the game gets from their awakening AP (if succession based) or mainhand AP (if awakening based).

Our hadum weapon and elvia skill are also lacking severely and are just straight up extremely underperforming and dissapointing.

Please show your support on my thread, we need to get this through to the devs, if the direction forward is that of hadum like mobs with high dr we will not be able to participate in any future PvE content effectively.

You can add :
- Forest Echoes' march/walk (while buffed) tic every 3 seconds (useless).
- 5 minutes buffs duration are not for shaï who casted the buff Oo. (edit : no one has 5 minutes duration buff, it's only the "we gonna win" stance... disapointing)

I totally agree, this is so dissapointing, and I have been a main Shai for a long time, and yet this is the most dissapointing I have seen so far, when I was looking forward to some good things that will happen to Shai after a massive boom of new Shai players from Olun Valley. I personally taught so many new Shais on how to play at Oluns. But with this extremely bad new patch, I am considering giving up on Shai...or actaully the GAME itself even.

the new thing they added to the shai, the "we are gunna win" thing....

 

its a joke and it is useless, remove this horrid thing from the game, and give us REAL development on the shai class.
