As the title says.. I plead for more immersive nights, including nightskies.

The nights in BDO are a joke.. It is literally just as if you play in-game on daytime, no big difference.. whats the purpose of atanis fireflies, if the nights and dungeons are bright as snow.. not even to mention the absurd bloom of remastered mode.. you should really hire an professional photographer for your Game-screencoloring/-editing crew.. I mean even it´s an MMO, it should not make any difference or problems for the gameplay when the nights are darker.

Players generaly don't like if they don't see shit, hence the games usually don't have dark night.

They could put in an optional dark mode though.

Yeah I agree with that. Would be a nice thing to have an option for dark mode. At least for those who like it a bit more realistic.

You can adjust your contrast settings via in-game settings, or the contrast on your monitor.  My nights are pitch black lol, well, if I set it that way, that is.

I would give you a screenshot, but am not at my gaming PC right now.  Maybe try adjusting the contrast ratio on your monitor and/or in-game settings.  Might do the trick.

If you pick one of the other photo filters, you can get very dark nights.  Vibrant does that.

Esc->Settings->Display Settings->Effects->Photo Filter.

It is not about contrast, if you already played other games, or if you know how the night is in reality, than this nightskies and nights overall in BDO are just are joke, not to mention the overbright dungeons..

Same with the photofilters, they are crap. It is not a solution at all, if they are not making a full adjustment of the night-brightness to make it more dark..

I mean literally nobody is even using atanis fireflies, than you can simply remove the whole concept of the fireflies or the moonlight in the game or the whole nighttime, doesn´t make sense at all to have night in the game BDO, when the night is that bright.. I mean just to turn each time something manually on or off in the settings or contrast to have a dark night is total bullshit how dumb someone can be.. and ideas what lead to nothing.. no improvement and no step forward.. its a step back in the 90ties.. if you give those ideas, than probably you still didn´t arrive in 2021..

Like Pearl Abyss wants to give such a realistic game and promoting it as realistic, but the whole (brightness, blooming in remastered mode and) darkening overall is all shit and far away from a photorealistic picture.. just can repeat myself it´s 2021 and not like 1995 with black and white gameboy pixel graphics..

If you want darker nights, try to turn off your monitor, because it's basically what you asking for. This what nights used to  be, fck that.

Unfortunately you are 5 years too late. At release night were pitch black in BDO to the point you needed an external source of light to see anything past 1m away from your character.

Playerbase complained and this is why nigths are the way they are now.

It deepens on game, but no popular, massively multipalyer game have dark night. People bitch about that. Night used to be wery dark in wow aswell, people complained, so they changed.

Only surival and singleplayer games ultilize very dark night.
