Ellie provides various important, convenient items that adventurers use every day: cron meals, compass, map, and gear. I personally use all the items that Ellie provides, and I'm very thankful that Ellie is always here. Without her, I would spend a lot of time traveling from the desert to town and possibly get lost on the way.
