About the Dark Rift

The Dark Rift is a special type of content that appears periodically.

Once a Dark Rift is opened, a monster will appear at a specific location.

If you defeat this monster, you can obtain the “Box of the Dead” and various enhancement materials.

① By default, there are twelve different monsters (Red Nose, Ruins Guard Tower, Dastard Bheg, etc.) that can appear from the Dark Rift. If you defeat a Dark Rift monster such as Red Nose, they will return later in a specific cycle. Check out how you can find out what Dark Monster monsters are available to battle below!

▲ Or click the Dark Rift icon at the right-hand corner of the in-game screen.

② The Dark Rift monster will automatically appear when you approach it. If you’re not sure how to find the location of Dark Rift, try either of the two ways below.

▲ You can click the [Arrow] next to the monster’s name.

▲ Or you can click the Dark Rift icon on the World Map (M)!

(If you’ve already defeated Red Nose, the Dark Rift icon for Red Nose won’t appear on the World Map.)

③ Once you approach Red Nose’s Dark Rift location, you’ll see a red rift visual along with a message alert on your screen.

④ The rewards you receive for the Dark Rift will differ depending on the monster’s level of difficulty.

▲ You can obtain the Box of the Desperate Dead from Red Nose, and the Box of the Distorted Dead from Ferrid.

* You must face Dark Rift monsters alone! Party members or other Adventurers can’t help you!

* You will not receive a death penalty for dying to a Dark Rift monster, so don’t worry about dying!
