Beautiful melodies resonated in the real world’s Heidel, creating truly magical moments of adventure

The 2024 Heidel Ball was held in the picturesque village of Beynac, France, which served as the inspiration for Heidel ingame🏰

On June 22, within the walls of the real world’s Heidel, new updates for Black Desert were revealed, including the new class Dosa and the Land of the Morning Light – Seoul. Attendees were also treated to beautiful melodies that delighted their ears.

From the main theme of the Land of the Morning Light – Seoul, which brings to life the recreated Gyeongbokgung Palace in Black Desert, to the powerful yet free-spirited theme music of Dosa.

First Act

🎼 HEIDEL BALL 2024 - Full Concert Live

The ball was held in Beynac, the town that inspired Heidel.

To give our adventurers attending the ball an unforgettable experience and everlasting memories at the real Heidel Castle, four specially arranged pieces were performed.

"Serendia Overture" was conducted by Kim Ji-yoon, the head of audio, especially for the ball which was held in Heidel's real life counterpart.

"Serenade of Heidelberg" was arranged as a serenade to evoke the romantic spirit of the game's early development days and to offer adventurers a touch of romance, which naturally came as the final piece.

Please enjoy the beautiful melodies created by a harmonious blend of instruments, including the violin, cello, and piano.

🎼Opening Another Sky

Black Desert: Land of the Morning Light - Main Theme "Opening Another Sky"

The main theme of Land of the Morning Light, "Opening Another Sky," is a meticulously crafted piece of music. It was officially prepared through a collaboration between Pearl Abyss's audio team and the National Gugak Center's Creative Orchestra.

This partnership aimed to authentically capture the historical background of "Asadal" (Hanyang Fortress), a key setting in Land of the Morning Light - Seoul.

The music video for "Opening Another Sky" features both the in-game representation of Gyeongbokgung Palace and its real-life counterpart, along with scenes of the National Gugak Center's participation in the project.

Third Act

🎼 White Night

Dosa Theme Song [White Night]

The new class, Dosa, freely manipulates clouds and winds.

When composing Dosa's theme music, "White Night," special attention was given to the characteristics of "freedom" of the class.

As you listen to the music, Korean adventurers might recognize some familiar sounds. The sounds used in "White Night" are from the National Gugak Center's [Sugungga: Eotjungmori / Kim Suin, Sorikkun (Vocalist)], with whom Pearl Abyss has collaborated multiple times.

"White Night" exudes Dosa's free-spirited charm, embodying strength and a desire for unity with nature. Shall we listen to it now?
