[United Kingdom and British Territories] Regarding Parental/Guardian Consent for Users Under the Age of 18

Greetings, Adventurers.
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom has announced the Children’s Code (or Age Appropriate Design Code). In accordance with this data protection code, we will be changing sign-ups and game/paid services to require the consent of parental/legal guardians for Adventurers under the age of 18 starting Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
If you are an Adventurer who is under the age of 18 and has previously used or is using these services, you will be requested the consent of your parental/legal guardian when you log in for the first time after this change.
Please be aware that the data of Adventurers who do not receive the consent of their parental/legal guardian may be deleted. As such, we hope you will enjoy your adventures in Black Desert with the consent of your parental/legal guardian.

- Who is Affected?: Users who are under the age of 18 from the United Kingdom that are signing up for the first time.
- What Changes?: Adventurers who are under the age of 18 will need the consent of their parental/legal guardian when signing up and using game & paid services.
