Hello!

I'm Tansie and I was one of the original founders almost 5 years ago. I played on Korea for a while and completely fell in love with the game and then managed to get into alpha testing when the game came to EU. I was going to tell the story of my first castle siege but as I looked through my screenshots folder to share my memories with you, I realised that there are so many amazing moments I have had in this game. Just to give you an idea, my screeenshots folder has over 3,000 images and I would love to share them all, but they are terrible quality and I promised myself I would "try" to keep this short. Below is one screenshot though from 2017 of me rocking my founders outfit during the spring event.

When I think back on every single one of those memories it is the people I have met in this game that make them all so special. I remember the countless hours in 2016 that I spent grinding for my first ever ogre ring, only for my friend to show up and spend a measly 1 hour with me and for it to drop. I don't know what came over me but I agreed that we would roll for the item and of course he got it, only to never log in again after that day! As you can imagine, we are no longer friends :D

I think of the mighty guild wars over cyclops monsters back when they were needed for guild missions, the awesome 5-man parties on pirate island as I was grinding for level 59 and 60, and of course my friends from cannon squad in my old guild. The times we spent together in node wars and in that glorious castle siege are some of my fondest memories in any game I have ever played. BDO has made me meet people I would never have crossed paths with otherwise and I have made genuine friends who I still speak to today. Every time I go grind Mirumoks, join Battle Arena, or even duel for spot, I end up with a new person on my friends list. It's also crazy to see how far the game has come and how much has changed in the last 5 years. Thinking back to the time before Mediah region is hard when you look at just how massive the map has grown and all the content that we have now.

One of my proudest achievements was earning the "Destroyer of Dreams" title when Ranger first got her awakening. I wanted the title so badly and raced to try and be in that first 100 players to finish the questline. I was convinced that I was too slow so seeing my name on the winner announcement was a huge surprise. My character has worn that title with pride for years and I only recently swapped it out for the "Vengeance" title. (I felt I needed to put it to use after the hell I went through with Mysteries of Summer!)

My writing is probably all over the place because I'm being bombarded with memories, but I hope that I've helped someone else who has played as long as I have to reminisce about the past. It is difficult to think of just one moment, one story or one part of BDO that stands out from the rest. I feel like every time I log into the game I am adding another page in my book of memories, and I'm excited for the next chapter.
