BDO is the MMO world, where I have met some of the most unforgettable people and made some of the most wonderful memories, both good and bittersweet. My first year in game, I had met a lot of interesting, fun, and quirky new people, first in the horse forums and later in server. I was convinced to swap from one region to the other and that would lead to even more colorful characters. One of them, in a short time span, would instantly be considered a bestie. Sadly, I'd lose that amazing person to tragic circumstances, but I won't forget the fun we had in game together. From creating stories to exploring all the hidden caverns of the world, he instilled a love of world exploring in me I've yet to lose. I'll never forget how excited he was to see the GMs when ships were first brought into the world, taking people hanging out in the Lily on a joyride out at sea. That memory would somehow fuel future friendships and the loss of that bright star, that lantern of laughter would end up bringing so many people together. In that loss, I managed to find others with big hearts who would shine in their own way... in this same, beautiful game world. And though they could never take his place, they would remind me that there were others just as special as him, in their own weird and wonderful way. A storyteller, a stubborn bull, a crazy cat lady, a bucket head, blue angels, sneks, lore ghosts, and more. I've shared with them happiness and heartbreak, celebrated events, talked about the joys of capturing the perfect screenshots, and made even more moments to cherish, in game and out. I can't thank them enough, and it's due in part to this amazing world and the people who put such care and craft into building it, as well as those who play in it. Here's to more unexpected PENs, Black Spirit stans, lucky Marketplace nabs, and other incredible memories... I look forward to it.
