Here are the latest update details for Black Desert Online on October 18, 2023 (Wed). Today’s patch contains 73 updates and is approximately 1.53 GB.

To aid adventurers in their neverending quest to be the very best, we decided to make some improvements to the drill sergeants located within the Battle Arena. These drill sergeants will now offer training at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, which will affect how quickly they recover from debuffs such as from Knockdown - they might quickly stand up or even counter with a debuff of their own after recovery. We hope this aids our adventurers in testing out their own unique combos in the arena.

• Drill sergeants of the battle arena are now better-equipped to help adventurers train their combat prowess.

• Improved the drill sergeants of the battle arena to help practice combos by visibly displaying attack decision effects.
  • Practicing with drill sergeants will now display hit detection effects such as Down Attack, Back Attack, Critical Hits, etc.,

• Added beginner, intermediate, and advanced training levels to the drill sergeants.
  • You will find drill sergeants with the appropriate training level in their titles.

• [Dark Knight] Dark Shadow - Fixed the issue where the All DP increase buff didn't refresh and would fade while maintaining the skill with your vediant.
• [Guardian] Prime: Savage Hack - Fixed the issue where you would perform the skill's attack 1 when comboing from a continuous Prime: Boulder Crush.
• [Shai] Sun, Moon, Stars, Time to Shine!, Shout to the Sky, Summer Rain - Fixed the issue where the skill effects would not refresh for Shais in the same party or platoon.
  • The Shai equipped with the higher-enhanced Sol will overwrite the buffs of other Shais by performing these skills.

Khan, Oquilla's Eye, is one of the guild raid bosses that require much teamwork and cooperation to take down. To make such guild activities bear more meaning, we decided to add a special questline. Now when you tackle on this guild raid boss each week, we hope these quests will help foster further growth between you and your fellow guildies.

• Curio, head of the Vellonia Otter Merchants Union, is said to be troubled by the damage wrought by Khan of Oquilla's Eye.
  • Apparently Curio and the Vellonia Otter Merchants have been researching Khan's Dim Magic from a non-alchemic approach for quite some time now.

• Added new recipes to craft Khan's Heart (Destruction/Protection/Life) with Khan's Dim Magic.

• Reduced the cooldown for using mount recovery (repair) items: 5 min → 1 min

When fishing while seated in a fisher's chair, you couldn't use certain consumable items, such as box-type item or moving fish from Shim Cheong's Miraculous Fish Tank. We decided to remedy that.

• Improved fishing while seated in a fisher's chair so you can now use certain consumable items including Shim Cheong's Miraculous Fish Tank.

When riding on your boat to go barter or sail, your navigation would end up displaying irregularly and would force you to reset it. We decided to fix that.

• Fixed the issue where riding your boat after setting up your navigation to a target in the sea or an isle wouldn't update your navigation correctly.

• Changed the objective of the [Weekly] Trophy: Offin quest.
  • Defeat Watcher Offin Tett → Defeat Mirumok Destroyer Offin

• Changed the ingredients required to craft the [Sage Awakening] Wholly Resurrected quest item.

• Removed Powder of Flame and Elder Tree Plank from the quest item description.

• Fixed the issue where attempting to remove an indomitable flag would display Remove Fort/Command Post.

We decided to install two types of stairs by the altar at Garmoth's Nest. This will help adventurers who've recently defeated the Crimson Dragon easily hand in their quest to Kukao who had been busily toiling away painting the fierce battle.

• Wanting to paint the Crimson Dragon Garmoth from a closer distance, Kukao decided to make the brave (?) decision and relocate his painting easel.
• To help the brave adventurers turn in their quests after defeating Garmoth, the soldiers of Night Crow and Morning Fog Posts teamed up to build a stone stairway to the altar in Garmoth's Nest.
  • No longer will you need to confront the ominous altar but can navigate to Kukao directly.

Many adventurers who sought to purchase Church buffs would have to search for the name of specific NPCs in town each time. We implemented an entry to the Find NPC (magnifying glass icon) function so you can find the nearest Silver buff NPC with the press of a button.

• Added a button to find the nearest Silver buff NPC via the Find NPC function.
  • Click the magnifying glass icon located on the upper right portion of your screen labeled Find NPC where you will find the Silver (Church) Buffs button. Press it to navigate to the closest NPC offering Silver buffs.

• Improved the layout of the guild invite window to now include a button to switch between multiple guild invites.

• Changed so you can now use the SPACE and ENTER hotkeys when confirming your selection for bundle items.

• Removed the function and settings options of LED Animation Effect from Settings - Other.

• Added and/or changed the following items to the Black Desert website.           
  • Improved the location of the message displayed when entering an incorrect date of birth for signing up for a new account.            
  • Changed the design of the My Login History page.

  • Improved so failing a login attempt will still keep the entered email address in the input slot.            
  • Added text under the Security tab on the Account Information page to remind you to register your mobile number (if applicable).            
  • Changed so you can now remove and link a Twitch account connected to another Pearl Abyss account while attempting to link the same Twitch account to your current Pearl Abyss account.            
    * You can link accounts via official website → Account Information → Link Account → Others.            
  • Added the share function to the bottom of the Announcement comment section.            
• Added single-lined reviews to the bottom of the Overview - Game Features page.                       
• Fixed the issue where logging into the Black Desert launcher and official website would sometimes display a white, empty screen.            
• Improved so clicking the search bar will no longer maximize it for IOS.                        

• [Sorceress, Ranger] Fixed the issue where wearing the Fallen Garzar Armor wouldn't display the dark aura visual effect for the wings.
• [Corsair] Fixed the issue where the character's face was frowning when performing the exclusive action for the Selaine Armor.
• Fixed the issue where the search result item's name and the take out UI overlapped.
• Fixed the description of Item Collection Increase Scrolls to have a more natural linebreak.
• Fixed the description of Mark of Hadum received from Seed Vendor Urahr during the [Elvia] The Fate of Glish quest.
• Fixed the issue where the screen sometimes shook during the milking minigame from interacting with cows at the Duvencrune Farmland.
• Fixed the issue where Wild Herb spawned inside a boulder in a certain part of the Asula Highlands.
• Fixed the navigation for when you search for the nearest storage keeper in the Terrmian Beach area.
• Fixed the incorrect production node information shown on the World Map (M) for Lema Island.
• Fixed the unnatural navigation route in parts of Altinova and Atessahra.
• Fixed the issue where the character sometimes fell through the Junaid bridge when crossing over to Ulukita.
• Fixed the unnatural background of the following residences.
  • Heidel 8-1, Rm. 3: entrance
  • Calpheon East Gate 8, 1F: floor
  • Velia 3-1: indoor entrance ceiling, outdoor roofing
• Fixed the issue where installment selection was sometimes canceled in certain situations during the Place Mode in residences.
• Fixed the unnatural background of a certain fountain in Calpheon City.
• [Woosa, Maegu] Fixed the issue where wearing the Marnist Outfit displayed portions of the outfit abnormally.            
• Fixed the issue where you couldn't repair Fughar's Fishing Rod.            
• Fixed the issue where untaggable characters appeared to be taggable in the Character Tag window.            
• Fixed the issue where certain Solare Hall of Fame statues appeared abnormal in the Battle Arena.               
• Fixed the issue where purchasing furniture from the Pearl Shop (F3) while your Inventory was open wouldn't refresh your Pearls displayed in your Inventory window.            
• Fixed the Pearl Shop (F3) to no longer display the contents of a selectable bundle item while viewing the selections.            
• Fixed the issue where using parenthesis while searching in the ESC Menu would prevent any search.            
• Fixed the following issues for gamepad UI mode.            
  
  • Transition between standard and trial characters via the Character Selection screen was abnormal.            
  • Selecting a carrot in your inventory would end up consuming it if your mount inventory was opened while mounted.            
  • The "Auto-move to Storage" function didn't work for storage in other towns after talking to a storage keeper NPC.
