Character Tag

By tagging a character, you will be able to play a second class in Black Desert with the gear of your main character. While you have a tagged character, you will be able to swap between them at any time and any location and share the EXP you earn with each other.
How to Tag a Second Character
1. Click the following icon next to your mount and fairy icons.
2. Select the character that you want to tag to your main character. Please, keep in mind that both characters must be in the same town.
The characters available to be tagged will appear colored, while the grayed out are not meeting the conditions.
Keep in mind the following!
• To tag or untag your characters, they both need to be in the same town. Some villages such as Kusha and Abun are excluded.
• When switching between your tagged characters, the Emergency Escape skill will be on cooldown (5 minutes).
• You can switch between your tagged characters without a cooldown.
• You cannot switch your tagged characters in Red Battlefield, Arena of Arsha, Battle Arena, Old Moon Prix, Node/Conquest War, or at sea.

3. Now you can swap between these 2 characters in the same place wherever you are located.
Item Copy
You can share your gear with your tagged character, but before doing so, you will need to make sure to level both character to level 56 and complete the required quest "[Marni's Suspicious Device] A Splendid Deal" which will be located in your Suggested quest tab interface.This quest is really easy to complete, and it will require you to complete a small image puzzle.
◈ How to copy your items
After completing the required quest, you can make an exact copy of your equipped gear to use on your tagged character. Click the button "Item Copy" to start the process.
Before copying your gear check the following!
- Your Karma must not be under 0 points.
- The durability of the original gear must be maxed out
- Main stats of copied items may change based on your class.
- Any changes reflected on the original gear, such as enhancement levels or Caphras, will be reflected on the copied gear.

Equipment that cannot be copied
• Costumes and outfits
• Tuvala and Naru gear before graduation
• Rented gear through Contribution Points
• Jetina gear that has not been enhanced to PEN
• Spirit Stones
• Fishing rods, floats and hunting matchlocks
• Gear from questlines
• Costumes and outfits

To pay the item copy you will need to use Marni's Unstable Fuel, which can be purchased from any Old Moon Manager in any town for 10,000,000 silver each.
Item copy cost formula: (All 3 Weapons) Central Market Price x 1.5% + (All 3 Weapons) Number of Caphras Stones for Caphras Enhancement x 21,500 Silver
◈ Single Item Copy
You can use the Single Copy tab to copy additional gear yo our tagged character. This method uses Marni's Processed Fuel, which can be obtained from the Pearl Shop or obtained through special events.
EXP Sharing
Another benefit of the tagging system is to transfer the EXP you earn with one character to your tagged character. To do so, you will need first to log in with one character, gain EXP by killing monsters or other activities, and then log in with the tagged character and press the button "Get EXP".
All Combat EXP and Skill EXP (Including the one obtained with buffs and other items) will be transferred to the tagged character.
Level 49 characters will not be able to be untagged if they reach more than 100% EXP due to the extra EXP stored. If you wish to untag these characters without leveling beyond lvl 49, please contact [Support] using the Hot issues section: Hot Issues - Lvl49 Untag Support. The support will remove your exp. Make sure to not earn any more exp and untag immediately after the issue is resolved.
