Land of the Morning Light Monster Zones

Last Edited on : Nov 19, 2024, 14:17 (UTC)
The Land of the Morning Light, once calm, has been in turmoil as of late. Throughout Donghae Province, several forces have begun to disrupt the peace.
The bandits parading as the old inhabitants of Dalim Village assault travelers across Bomnae County. The corruption of the officials has increased poverty to levels hardly seen in many years, causing rumors of hauntings seen on the Gowun Plateau. The emerging golden pigs rampage against the tyranny of the government, as do the formerly friendly dokkebi from within their shaded forest.

Honglim Base

The people of Dalim Village established this haven after losing their home.
The residents wear masks to hide their identities and accept each other without bias, upholding the maxim of Dalim Village to help those in need.

Unfortunately, bandits have begun wearing Honglim masks as of late, which has caused considerable trouble for both the former people of Dalim and everyone passing through their land.

1. Monster Types and Level

1) Basic Information
• Mostly Lv. 63 monsters
• Melee: Boar Bandit, Lynx Bandit, Raccoon Bandit, Fox Bandit Boss
• Ranged: Fox Bandit

2) Features

You will encounter a group of sentries protecting a banner. After defeating them, the minions of the Centipede Market will start appearing in waves. After a while, a Fox Bandit Boss will emerge to stop you. These bosses have absorbed the energy of the yogwe Gumiho, giving them strength above their peers.

After a boss is defeated, the liberated energy of the Gumiho will start following you. This foxfire grants you a monster damage buff against the bandits. This foxfire buff can stack if you defeat a 2nd boss. Note that this buff only lasts around 30 seconds, and can be renewed by battling the bandits.

Gumiho
Once you defeat enough enemies or bosses, there will be enough energy for the Gumiho to manifest herself. The yogwe will then emit a repeating AoE attack that will only harm the bandit enemies.
When Gumiho disappears, she will leave you with a 1-minute damage buff against the bandits.

2. Level/Equipment Requirements

Even if you meet the recommended stats, if you do not carry out the tactic described above you will find it an uphill battle.

1) Precautions

Watch out for the fox bandits who can snipe you from afar, and for the rare AoE attacks the melee bandits can hit you with.

The Fox Bandit Boss is a formidable foe to battle against. Always be on your guard when it appears, as it can knock you down with his abilities.

5. User Density

Given it requires the least equipment out of the monster zones in Land of the Morning Light, you might find yourself competing for a spot at one of the banners.

Dokkebi Forest

Because it is surrounded by high cliff walls, it does not appear as though it sees much sunlight; however, there are many tall trees here nonetheless.

Because dokkebi with supernatural powers live here, people would come to ask them for aid with problems they cannot solve by themselves. After the Dokkebi King's rage, however, humans have stopped visiting.

They say the dokkebi who are not affected by their king's rage will still gather and help those who have lost their way.

1. Monster Types and Level

1) Basic Information
• Mostly Lv. 65 monsters
• Melee: Strongkkebi, Combatkebi
• Ranged: Philosophkebi
• Melee/Ranged: Prankkebi

2) Features
In the shadowed depths of a forest untouched by the sun, grim energy weaves its dark tapestry as kkebifires emerge, tainted by malevolent forces. Drawn to kkebidol statues, these kkebifires summon the hidden dokkebi, who commence the ritual to awaken the mighty Duoksini!

Resist the onslaught of the dokkebi and attack the kkebifires to gather enough energy for Duoksini to appear.

Duoksini, King of the Dokkebi
Once the King of the Dokkebi appears, he will carry out a big AoE attack that can be fatal to Adventurers, thus demanding utmost caution.

When Duoksini's rage subsides, a fleeting respite graces the woods, as the kkebidol will absorb the energy of nearby dokkebi.

2. Level/Equipment Requirements

Even if you meet the recommended stats, make sure to be suitably buffed with meals, draughts, perfumes, etc. for the encounter.

3. Strategies

1) Precautions

Watch out for the ranged attacks from the dokkebi and the many AoE abilities they have. Failing to properly avoid them will lead to a quick demise.

Additionally, be on your guard when confronted by Duoksini, as he will easily toss you aside if you are not careful. That said, dying to Duoksini does not apply death penalties (EXP loss, breaking crystals, etc.).
